spike bullet   October 2017 Changing Seasons

This is the last of our regular newsletters.

We started the website www.itstime.com in November 1995 – more than 22 years ago – and have written an article almost every month since then.

The world is changing and so are we.  As our interests have changed, we began to realize that our interests lie elsewhere and are less interested in maintaining that monthly focus.

Our first article, Seven Principles of Spirituality in the Workplace, came from a desire to share our thoughts and feelings about how to make the workplace a more human place.  These remain our guiding principles: Creativity, Communication, Respect, Vision, Partnership, Energy, Flexibility and of course, Fun.

Today, our world is a very complicated place that needs strong people and strong leadership.

  1. We are facing unprecedented challenges in trying to maintain the human race on this small green planet we call Earth.
  2. Our environment is very unstable and we are seeing extreme hardship in all parts of our country right now.
  3. We are seeing a strong backlash of hatred and disrespect for our neighbors.

These are wake-up calls that urge us to step up and act like responsible human beings.  We need to actively take care of our selves, our family and our neighbors.  Like it or not, none of us will leave here alive.  And, like it or not, we are all cousins in the human race.

From the song, We Are The World: "There comes a time when we heed a certain call  There are people dying.  There is a choice we are making.  We're saving our own lives..."

We Are The World by Michael Jackson

There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We can't go on pretending day by day
That someone, somehow will soon make a change
We are all a part of God's great big family
And the truth, you know
Love is all we need
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving
There's a choice we're making,
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me
Send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand.

As members of the human race, we share so much more than our differences.  Our great diversity is our strength and not our enemy.

Our challenge today is how to create our world so that we have the best possible experiences while we share this Earth with other living creatures.  If we work together, we can have the best possible experience and every one wins.  If we fight each other, every one loses.

Our focus is on bringing people together and that is where our attention has always been.  We do it in many ways every single day.

So, now as we change seasons, we realize that our time is better spent focusing on the work that makes our heart sing.  It’s time for new leadership and younger people who are willing to do the work that needs to be done to make our country successful again.  The road ahead is not easy and we continue to support people who know how to do the hard work that needs doing.

We are very grateful for the many people who have enjoyed our newsletters over the years and will maintain our website so that those who are interested can continue to read what is here.

We leave you with an Irish blessing:

May we live in peace without weeping.

May our joy outlive the lives we touch without ceasing.

And may our love fill the world, angel wings tenderly beating.
